The Richmond Craft Mafia
loves bringing fabulous to the forefront. Usually, we stick to the crafty; It
is important to us that we share all of our favorite designers and artists, and
we love the support you show them as they pursue their artistic passions.
This year we would like
direct your attention to yet another group that could use your support. A group
that is just as passionate, and very focused on finding creative ways to
provide positive change in an area that really could use it:
The Neighborhood Resource
Center is a non profit located in the Greater Fulton area of Richmond. The NRC provides
incredible programs for local youth – including a creative arts after school
program, writing workshops, drama and dance classes, and even a recording
studio. Everything the center does is designed to help local youth find
creative outlets to express themselves and to develop self confidence, as well
as academic success, all in an environment that promotes cooperation, tolerance
and non violence.
When you visit
the SBB this year, please stop by the NRC table. You can make a donation of new
or gently used craft or school supplies, learn about volunteer opportunities
and show your support for a truly great neighborhood resource.
